What is Infertility

Infertility is a kind of sexual disorder by which people throughout the world suffers a lot. People of both the sexes suffer from this general problem. Infertility refers to a biological inability of a male or female to contribute to conception. Or in easy words, an inability to carry a pregnancy after having an unprotected sexual intercourse regularly for 12 months.

Male Infertility

It is basically a deficiency as sexologists say, male infertility happens due to the deficiency in semen, DNA, sperms etc. It is commonly seen in males who are heavy smokers, alcohol or drug addicted. Some injury can also lead to the condition of infertility in males. This generally happens due to pre-testicular causes which include weak support of testicles and also a situation of poor hormonal support.

Causes & Reasons of Infertility in Males

There are many other reasons for male infertility. One of them is obesity. The chances of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism increase due to obesity. Excess consumption of alcohol is also a reason of it. Bicycle or horseback riding could also be a reason. The medication which affects spermatogenesis, and disturbs the stimulation of FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormones), like chemotherapy, are also the reason of it, as the reduce sperm motility. Some sexologists also say that tobacco smoking kills the sperm cells and may lead to the condition of it. Inherited variants in genes which encode in DNA mismatch repair also increase the risk of damage to the sperm DNA.

Female Infertility

It is a big problem found among women throughout the world. Female infertility is a condition in which a woman fails to hold a womb in her fallopian tube. Or in others words, it is an inability of a woman to give birth to a child. The inability to become pregnant, maintain a pregnancy or carry a pregnancy to live birth simply means infertility. As millions of couple throughout the world being suffered from it, the reasons are very vast.

Causes & Reasons of Infertility in Females

Female infertility can happen because of both internal and external factors in a female body. The external factors can be body weight, smoking habits, drug overdoses, excess consumption of alcohol, eating disorders and habits. Chemotherapy can also affect fertility. Sexually transmitted diseases and infections may also affect female fertility. So It is important to have a protected intercourse. Internal factors like hormonal disorders, irregular menstrual cycles, and genetic factors as some of the genes are responsible for infertility in females. Premature ovarian failure and lack of sexual desire may also be responsible for it. Some disorders in female reproductive organs might be responsible for it.

Preventions for Infertility

Infertility is a very serious problem and in order to prevent this, one should take some steps which include:
  • Avoid smoking
  • Avoid heavy alcohol use,
  • Avoid drug doses
  • Avoid masturbation.
  • Avoid high temperatures
  • Avoid drug overdose
  • Control overweight
  • Eat healthy
  • Do regular exercises
  • Don’t use too much caffeine
If you are taking all these steps and still not getting relief, you should consult a sexologist and get a proper treatment for infertility.
